As a business archive with Collections that have been Designated as being of  ‘International Significance’ by the Arts Council England and that has been awarded Accredited status by The National Archives, Unilever Archives and Records Management constantly strive for best practice and the highest levels of service. As such, working with ITV Content Delivery has proven to be a perfect fit.

Unilever Archives and Records Management has a vast collection of TVCs from around the globe spanning over 60 years, including the UKs first ever television commercial and the UKs first ever colour television commercial. As part of a large scale digitisation project to make more fully accessible this wonderful collection we began using ITV Content Delivery in 2020. Despite the obvious complications that the COVID-19 pandemic caused, the team ensured that our digitisation programme continued in a COVID safe way. In the initial batch, they digitised over 200 separate items of varying formats (16mm, 35mm, UMatic, VHS and Betacam) at a speed that was truly astounding. However, the quality and attention to detail of the digitisation was equally as impressive. The transfer and return of material was secure and throughout the entirety of the project, we were kept well informed of progression. The success of the project now means that Unilever Archives and Records Management can support, to an even greater extent, Unilever’s vision of making sustainable living commonplace and helping to deliver a purpose-led and future-fit business.
